Wave House

Residential project, Wave House, explores reimagined coastal architecture to occupy the former site of a longstanding Californian Bungalow with existing private access to a secluded creek with near access to the beach. Resonating with the neighbourhood replete in seaside character and low-density nature, the project draws on its architectural incarnation to connect people of the sea to the outside world. Distinct curvature inspired by the waves of the ocean can be seen throughout the entirety of the interiors. Textures through fluted glass, vertically grooved wall panelling, and subtle feature framing to the joinery doors offer continuity. Paired with natural materiality including white subtle marble and accents of sandstone cladding form a union of luxury finishes grounded in natural elements.
